Our bar is the heart of The Ship Inn. With its open fire and wood burning stoves it creates a warm and cosy atmosphere to escape the wind and Scottish weather.
Whether you want to come and enjoy a coffee and some cake or biscuits, a real ale, a Scottish malt or the finest Bloody Mary in the East Neuk, there will be a warm welcome waiting for you.
We serve the same menu throughout The Ship Inn, so if you prefer to sit in the bar then we will be delighted to serve you the same fresh food that is served upstairs. Dogs are very welcome in the bar, and in the downstairs restaurant – water, treats and even beds are provided to make them feel at home.
Location speaks for itself - beautiful! Popped in for a drink after a blustery walk on the beach, lovely interior and a warm smiley welcome from staff, with water offered to our dog. We’d eaten brekkie, but after a glance at the menu, we were tempted, so got a quick bite of some focaccia bread with oil and their thick cut chips. Both were generous portions and delicious, so would certainly return to dine properly or enjoy the beach top outdoor area in less inclement weather :)
Wonderful location and excellent food. The Inn allows dogs which is great because Elie is a very dog friendly place. I had the fish and chips which I think couldn't be bettered. Friendly staff and well worth a visit.
Meeting friends for a catch up maybe not the best day 31st Dec it was so busy but our meal was good and we didn't have to wait long. The staff work really hard as it was just knee deep with people so full marks to the waiting staff and the kitchen staff also.
I want to give 10 stars for service! Stayed here a couple of nights for our anniversary in December. We had an amazing time but the staff - without doubt - were the best thing about it. Friendly and helpful without being OTT. They were just fab. I left a book behind by mistake and they bent over backwards to get it back to me. Great food, great atmosphere, lovely staff. What more do you need?
Booked a meal here as we were staying local and the offer of pick up drop off was perfect. The menu is limited, nothing special. Food was okay I had burger and chips , because there was only fish etc on offer. Be aware if you use the pick up drop off...we had to wait 2hrs for the mini bus to come back for us...wasted time for us.
