During Covid my wife and I decided that we would not put off trying out new things any longer. One of those was finally going along to the try-outs day at the Dalgety Bay Bowling Club in May of 2022. We have lived in the bay for 21 years and have driven, or walked, past the club all this time without going in to have a look. It was the best decision we could ever have made. We are now full members and we regularly attend the social events as well. It is so good to feel part of a friendly, active and fun-loving sports club and we have made so many new friends. The club has a beautifully maintained green and excellent facilities. There are varying levels of play available. We are just starting out as rookie bowlers, but we have had so much support and encouragement from the coaches and other members. Associate memberships are available for those seeking purely the social aspect of the club. My wife and I have been along to pretty much all of the Bingo nights, quiz nights, tribute acts, and other social events and they have been thoroughly enjoyable. The club sports a well stocked pub and reasonably priced drinks! Come along and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed!

This is a members' lawn bowling club with a full-sized green. The Club is set in attractive landscaped grounds in a pleasant residential area. The Club is affiliated to Bowls Scotland, the national body for the sport, and is a member of the West Fife Bowling Association (WFBA) and the East Scotland Womens' Bowling Association (ESWBA). The bowling season is from early April to early October. The Green is open 7 days a week during the playing season, from 10 am 'til dusk. Membership : Membership subscriptions are available to playing members or social members. Low cost Junior playing memberships are also available for ages 8-17. Coaching : The Club has several fully trained coaches. Adult & junior coaching is free and runs from about May each year on Thursday evenings. In addition, there is Junior coaching on Saturday mornings and after school. There is a FREE "Come & Try" day in May (please check with the Club or on their Facebook page for the exact date). Bowling : During the playing season there is a full programme of internal competitions for all levels of player, and regular Friendly fixtures with other local bowling clubs (home & away). The Club also takes part in many external competitions, including heats leading to national finals in July/August. The Club plays competitively in Gents', Ladies' and Junior Leagues, with considerable success. Social : The Club has a fully licensed bar and throughout the year runs a programme of social events - quizzes, karaokes, games nights (bingo, darts, dominoes, poker), race nights, comedy & musical acts and concerts. Private Hires : The Club is available for hire for private functions and has hosted baby showers, christenings, birthday & anniversary parties, funeral teas, meetings and various party-plan & networking events. The capacity is 60. The Club can put hirers in touch with suitable caterers and DJs, although hirers are welcome to make their own arrangements. There is a small kitchen suitable only for heating-up. NB - during the playing season private hire dates are very limited. During the non-playing season, more dates are available, but Fridays are never bookable for private functions. Visitors : Visitors are welcome - both playing & social. Visitors' fees are payable by playing visitors. There is a selection of bowls and shoes available for the use of visitors. Sponsorship/Advertising Opportunities : The Club welcomes enquiries from individuals or companies regarding opportunities to sponsor playing or social events or to advertise. Accessibility : The Club is of modern, single-storey construction and is fully disabled-accessible. There is fully-ramped access from the car park and no steps to access either the main Clubhouse or the separate changing rooms. Ramps are available for disabled access to the Green itself.
