For ten pound a head, the value is unreal. The booze is a good price and the food too. A must try if you haven't. They also hold deals throughout the week whilst you eat in. Would very highly recommend.
We thought we would try this place out as we like a good mixed grill and have been to plenty of these types of pubs before for mixed grills. First off the pub was grimy looking. The doors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. Grimy/sticky floors and menus and tables. We tried to look pass this and ordered our food. The mixed grill was very average and on the small side being a medium compared to mother medium sized mixed grills at other places. The lamb sheekh kebabs were very uniform looking and maybe could have been frozen. The chicken was just okay. I don't think I'd be travelling here again and would probably stick to the Red Lion (west Bromwich) or Jack's Bar (Wolverhampton) or Hen and Chickens (Hill Top)
We've never been disappointed with the food here. Anything from the large mixed grill down to the mixed meat wrap, it's always delicious. They do a nice pint of Guinness and the prices are fair. The children always have the chicken nuggets from the children's menu and always manage to eat them. It's quite a large dining area with plenty of seating always available. We normally visit off peak when it's quieter. The gaffa is very friendly and always welcoming with a smile. I'm sure we'll be eating here for quite some time.
Ordered through uber eats, the thatched cottage pie had no potato on and was less than an inch deep, looked like a frozen £1 one was chucked in to a plastic tray also the lasagne was the same, paid £16.50 for the 2 and would not feed it to my dog, no refund and cant contact uber, will never recommend this place.
First time eating there and can't fault it, food came out within 10 minutes of ordering, portions were huge and the food was incredible, couldn't fault a single item. Also impressed with how cheap everything was considering how great the food was.
