This is in a superb wild location with great views over the estuary and plenty of birds. The staff were attentive and the pub/restaurant was welcoming. The menu was very small and if staying more than one night it would have been a bit restrictive. The dinner was good although not outstanding but was made with fresh local ingredients. Breakfast was lovely with home made sausages and bacon. The rooms were fresh, new, clean and beds comfortable. Dog friendly with a £20 charge.

The pub is steeped in history and has stunning views across the estuary to Faversham. Inside is warm and cosy beautifully decorated. The small plates offered for lunch were delicious washed down with locally sourced cider. One niggle was I had to pay a service charge upfront as I ordered and paid at the bar, either that or a pint of cider is £8.50! It’s worth noting the road is just not that bad!

What a wonderful venue. Gorgeous views and a very glam and cozy interior. We provided Casino tables for a 40th birthday. Staff were polite and helpful ensuring a smooth running event. Would definitely recommend this venue for a special event. A little off the beaten track but this is what makes it feel so special

We did not see the rooms so cannot comment. Lunch was not exactly as we had expected. They suggested that we sample 3 or 4 options available to us which we did. However we were staggered when the bill came to ‘£105 - including the wine. Then there was an expectation that we pay an extra 12.8 % service charge! No way. We gave the waitress £5.00 and left. We had gone there with a view to see if it would be suitable for a birthday celebration next year. That has put ourselves off completely. Not to mention the very long and dreadful road we had to travel to get there / not just an up and down sort of surface but throwing us left and right as well. A nice place eventually but certainly not worth the money or drive!’

We were recommended the Ferry House so we booked it up and had a date night. The setting is beautiful and the drive is worth it. The first thing is the staff, who are all welcoming and so friendly which is a good sign they are looked after. We arrived early so we had some drinks and sat outside and admired the beautiful scenery. We were shown to our table at 6pm by Abby and she was absolutely lovely. Abby knew the menu and we asked a lot of questions and recommendations which Abby pointed us in the right direction of the perfect meal. The food was incredible, the presentation was first class. The starters were beautifully presented and my wife had the Sea Trout and I had the duck breast. The flavours were so good everything worked so well together. For our mains my wife had the duck wellington and I had the pig cheek and smoked ribs. The food was faultless and again the presentation was incredible. The Ferry House has the perfect balance of lovely staff, incredible chefs and perfect location. Abby our waitress is a credit to your company and she made our evening thank you Abby. We will definitely be returning thank you so much to all the staff.
