We had vege chilli, chicken curry. Rice on both was cold. Plates were cold and the chilli was very bland. Staff were disinterested and quite frankly gormless. No apology from waitress or, I presume the manager, who stood propping up the bar simply staring at what was going on. This was on the bar side not the restaurant side btw.
Wow! We stayed here for one night. The food was incredible. Very tasty and feshly cooked The service was amazing, Very friendly staff from bar staff to chef!! The room looked out over the river, clean, modern and very comfortable. No noise to speak of from the pub downstairs. We wished we had booked for longer. Excellent all round. We will be back!
We stayed one night, our room was warm and cosy with a great view of the Tamar Bridge. The hosts Neil and Clare were superb as were all the staff we met, very helpful and friendly. Finished our stay off with a lovely cooked breakfast!
We had lunch here on a Monday. Friendly polite staff. Food was hot and tasty. Simple menu with a good selection of specials. 3 ales and 2 lagers to choose from. Prices were fair, decor was in keeping with its river side location. Parking was good but I can imagine it becoming tricky when busy.
Great historic (1500s) Pub to stay if you want a quiet location with great views over the bustling River Tamar and good classic pub food at a reasonable price. Good balcony view over the River. No lift so you need to be able to climb the 2 sets of stairs. Staff did though help with case up the stairs. Recommend it
