The Ferry Boat Inn (known locally as The FBI) is a traditional village pub located right on the shore of the River Dart in Dittisham.
We have a family friendly bar and probably one of the most stunning views from a pub window in the world!
When you visit, you will have a choice of four real ales, a comprehensive wine list and a pub menu that is out of the ordinary.
We attract a wide range of customers from locals to yachties, families of all ages, holidaymakers and celebrities all of whom come to soak up and enjoy the atmosphere. At the Ferry Boat Inn invariably you will start chatting to either one of the locals or another holiday maker that will make your visit even more memorable. Local characters abound and some are even known to take a drink off visiting holiday makers (no names mentioned!)
We look forward to seeing you soon!.

Only a brief visit but what a fabulous place. I had heard about this place so we jumped on the ferry and traveled up. They have a great selection of beverages and the menu looked great but you need to book as it gets very busy (we didn't book so missed out π©) well worth a visit πππππ
Beautiful location. Small pub, a little cramped but no worries. The staff go out of their way to accommodate everyone. Limited menu but totally understand. Food excellent. The staff make it, along with the views.
Such a beautiful day, caught the Dittisham ferry , had a delicious king prawn and olive's Pizza π washed down with a double Gin.. Next time take my swim suit with me ππβοΈ
We were staying in the village and wanted to go crabbing. Walked down to the Ferry Boat Inn (FBI) as it right on the edge of the River dart where there is a pontoon for crabbing. We only ordered drinks, but the pub has a large selection, three West Country real ales, cask marque accredited. These include Otter bitter badged as FBI bitter, Sharps Doombar and Sharps Atlantic. There is a choice of three lagers, Carling, Stella Artois and Prahva along with a sparkling Stowford Press and a still cloudy and flat old Rosie cider. For the stout drinkers we offer a great pint of Guinness. The pub itself is pink, so no missing it. I didnβt eat there, however, from what I saw, looked really good. One thing to be mindful of is the gradient of the hill coming down, itβs very steep, beware!
A lovely little pub that spreads out across the jetty (if youβre lucky to have the weather)! They also do fantastic pizzas which can be eaten in or taken out. Staff and really friendly and welcoming.
