We are a friendly Free House where you can enjoy a wide selection of up to twenty real ales served straight from the cask from our temperature controlled tap room. Also on offer are up to seven real ciders as well as a selection of gins, whiskies, rums, wines and Belgian beers.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome and we have a small selection of treats for your canine companions.
We are a pub about the beer and the people so whether it is lively debate you're after or a quiet pint in the greenery filled garden, you can find it here!

Fantastic selection of real ales. Don't serve food but will happily provide plates and cutlery for takeaway food brought in. Occasional bar food including amazing Scotch eggs
What a great pub! The very best real ale for many miles. Top notch. No food, no music, fruit machines or TV. Great.
Lovely neighbourhood pub just outside of town. Good,, wide range of well kept ales — worth the walk. Nice atmosphere, friendly, smiley, informed staff. Cheap cab ride back to station. Garden looked nice for summer months, will visit again. Only suggestion is background music and bigger glasses of wine.
Firstly the beer is top notch and served by staff passionate about it. Talk to the staff, they are very knowledgeable and will make suggestions if you ask about what beer to have next and offer samples. The garden is large, comfy and beautifully manicured. If you feel hungry they encourage you order food from the local take aways and have it delivered to the pub. I could sit there all day sipping jubels and brewers gold. Looking just over a tenner for 2 beers, it's a good price for quality, range, knowledge and comfort.
Lovely venue, with some great beer. We had an Amstel and a Bitburger. Say outsider in the smoking area. Very clean and tidy with plenty of room to sit.
