A great place to go for a meal. Super service from friendly and helpful staff. Location is in the middle of the countryside and head gear views. Food was fantastic on the Sunday a small selection but what there was, was really really good, good sized portions which tasted wonderful. A fair selection of wonders and beers was available. As a note the pub is really dog friendly for well behaved dogs.
We stayed here in our motorhome - very friendly welcome and service and we loved the Indian food; great to have this as a choice alongside traditional dishes.
We stopped on our way to Newquay and had a lovely meal! The staff were nice and friendly. Very helpful! We were able to stay in the car park in our motor home with our dogs, lovely place
First impressions were a feeling of being run down. Our room was large with excellent ensuite. Inclusion of new curtains and settee would have made the room so much more appealing. Our evening meal was superb and service was excellent. All in all the place grew on us with pleasant beer garden in idyllic countryside and worth the money.
Don't like to criticise small businesses but had a Sunday roast, and in my opinion, very poor. Underdone Veg. Blunt knife. Dried up stuffing and potatoes. Not worth £16. On the upside. Table service was really good and nice atmosphere in the place and in a very a scenic setting...But you really can't charge that sort of money for such a poor standard of meal. Perhaps they had a different chef on that day. Who knows. Anyway, won't be going again that's for sure.
