About us

The Farmers Arms is situated in the heart of St Merryn village, approx 3 miles from the popular Cornish Fishing village of Padstow. The Farmers Arms offers a large, free car park, public bar, restaurant, function room, decking area, a new children’s play area and four Bed & Breakfast rooms.

The Farmers has gained a reputation for exceptionally well kept cask conditioned ale and keg products as well as fine home cooked food. All our ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible, supporting small local suppliers and maintaining a high level of quality at all times. Our Farmers Carvery is available every Sunday all year, and every night at busy times.

The Farmers is a great access point for the Seven Bays area of North Cornwall, some of the county’s finest bays and surf beaches. You are also within close proximity to Trevose Golf Course, Padstow, Prideaux place, the Camel Trail, The Alps Fishing lakes, The Saints way , Bedruthan Steps and many other attractions.

Our B & B rooms are situated above the Inn. All of our rooms are ensuite and we can offer double, twin and family rooms. We offer room only rates as well as B & B. Some of our rooms are also dog friendly, and we are sure that our pub dog, Boris will give you all a warm welcome too.

On most Saturday nights and some Sundays you will find live music in the bar or in our function room, creating a lively atmosphere in and around the pub at the weekends.

This pub is definitely worth a try. We're a family who are quite particular about our eating out so when I say the food was great, it really was. My son and husband had the farmers burger and they said it was better than the Rick stein burger that they had at the start of our holiday. So thays saying something! I had the pizza which was stone baked and fully loaded. Yummy. Our wonderful waitress Kelly was amazing and really looked after us, she was so friendly and welcoming as we're the other staff. Thanks for the memories. We'll be back x Oh and kids eat free Monday to Thursday I think Kelly said but unfortunately my kids are well into their adults menus now.

Absolutely fabulous. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and dog friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stop after a beach walk. Will definitely be back.

We went to the Farmers Arms Inn for dinner with some friends and our dog on a Saturday evening. The pub was busy but the staff were still friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was really nice and tasty. If we are back in the area again we will try to pop in again.

Had an evening meal here, pub was packed. Service was fast, order taken, drinks on table. Food arrived hot and tasty. Choice of menu or carvery. Staff worked blooming hard, but always smiling, as the evening went on and the crowds went home, the bar area was lovely to sit and chat. Lots of outdoor seating and a big car park. Will recommend this pub to anyone in the area.
