Fantastic food, probably the best meal we've had in a while, all four of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The steak pie was rich in flavour and the chicken burger was perfect, especially liked the option of having this either breadcrumbed, battered or grilled. Unfortunately this came very slowly, over an hour wait for our mains to be delivered, with no acknowledgement of this from the waiting staff. We don't mind a wait when the food is this good, but a heads up would have been appreciated. A very dog friendly place.
Great wee pub with amazing food. I've not had a great appetite recently and asked if I could eat from the children's menu which they were happy for me to do. The food was amazing. The chicken goujons were gorgeous, really succulent chicken and the same for the beef in the steak pie. Portion sizes are generous too. Staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive. Would highly recommend this pub for food. Very family friendly.
Popped in whilst camping nearby as we needed a dog friendly place to eat. Had a great meal 😁 The pizza was delicious (goats cheese & caramelised onion) and the Haddock & chips was beautiful, lovely light crispy batter and moist delicate flesh. Rounded off our meal with sticky toffee pudding (I never got to try any so must of been really good) and a double nougat with ice cream off the specials board. Yum! Certainly will eat here again when in area.
We came for dessert. This was our first taste of sticky toffee pudding. It got us hooked. We can't get enough. We love the stuff. And their recipe was delicious. We had it with ice cream and loved every morsel, so decadent and delicious.
Lovely place to eat in Aberfoyle. Excellent service! Even if we arrive very close to their limit to order food, they serve us a delicious dinner. Second time here and another good experience!
