We’d booked a table for a live music night as we had a friend visiting us. We arrived as the live music was supposed to start but there was no sign of anyone setting up. Decided to get a drink & wait but the staff refused to serve us! We weren’t loud, rude or acting drunk so I have no idea what the problem was! We left very disappointed & went to the Cocktail Embassy (that has bouncers) & got served just fine!! Definitely won’t be coming here again, even before this incident I’d always thought the service was pants & the staff had attitude!!😡😏 Plenty of other lovely places in the area! Don’t bother visiting, you’ll be disappointed.

Ignore the low rating. Not sure what happened to the Google account but the previous version had lots of reviews and over 4 average! Always a good place to watch the football, great beer options and food is nice too. In the summer the terrace is a lovely place to enjoy a cold beer

Food is ok. Took over an hour for it to arrive though. Staff were very apologetic explaining it was busy, which it was, but it’s a Saturday and a pub in Crystal Palace? Surely it’s always busy?! A hour is too long for food. It’s also expensive. £16.50 from memory for a burger

Had a really lovely time with my friends here the other night. The small plates were delicious! So pleasantly surprised because I really don’t expect much from bar food but wow. Had no problems with service (unlike the rest of the reviews), everyone was lovely and the drinks were definitely worth the wait. Shame about the negativity from the clientele but I guess that’s London for you. Will come again if i find myself back in the area!

Have you ever experienced customer service that leaves you actually confused? Thinking maybe there’s something wrong with me…? Turns out I’m not alone in this feeling with this place. I have never experienced such a bizarre service. They will actively avoid serving you if you want a cocktail, despite having a large cocktail menu. There’s one bartender who is capable of making them and she will literally roll her eyes at you if you ask for a cocktail.
