I had the pleasure to stay for four nights here over the Christmas holidays and I can sincerely state that they were four fantastic nights with everything you could possibly need catered for. The accommodation is first rate and we were in a spacious room that was well appointed with everything that you could need for a stay. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well during our stay. The bathroom was equipped with a walk in shower and a bath and then there was the hand basin area complete with a generous mirror. The property was pleasantly warm throughout our stay and there were lovely seating areas where you could go and relax. Our stay here was made even more enjoyable by the very friendly staff and owners who were always on hand to tend to any request that was made, Peter and Linda certainly go the extra mile to ensure your stay is one of perfection. The food that we had was all excellent and freshly prepared and of a very high quality and served by the wonderful Vincent who again catered for our every need. I have to say that this is a perfect place to stay if you really enjoy having your every need taken care of thanks to all of the fantastic team here.
My wife and I had a late lunch at these premises, our dog was welcome in the bar area which is better than leaving him in the car. The staff were very friendly and served our order quickly and correctly, the food and drinks were good quality and plentiful. Well worth a visit.
Love the location, decent beers, food is ok with large portions but not particularly sophisticated and on the pricey side but still, definitely a great place to visit on a sunny afternoon to sit by the river plus very dog friendly.
Lovely little quaint village with lovely river running through. Lovely circular walk too. Had ploughman's and meat platter for lunch before a 2hr River walk. The main man behind the bar was great, so was the lovely new lady starting her career and the kitchen assistant. Great meal, great pub and fantastic river view to have your meal in a stunning setting.
Had a lovely meal in the pub here. The food was delicious (especially the baked camembert!) and staff were all very helpful and friendly. One member of our group has food allergies, and used the allergy menu, which was very clearly laid out and easy to understand.
