Newly referbished, family run, child and dog friendly pub and hotel in the beautiful area of Lynton, North Devon.
The newly refurbished Beggars Roost Inn is the perfect spot to come and enjoy a local ale, refreshing glass of wine, relax in front of the fire on a cold winters night or watch the cows at dusk walking past in the opposite field on a warm summers evening.
Whilst here it is a must to try some of our fantastic food cooked by our head chef Andy Collier. Something of a chef celebrity in the area, Andy has put together a menu to suit all tastes and dietary requirements.

Can't give info on staying here only on foot and ails plus disabled access great they've got a ramp portable. But there are issues with access to toilet and 2 set's steps plus 1 small step which was very annoying but doable. Access to toilet is one big step down so be prepared. Alis are brilliant food okay but mash is packet powder I'm no expert.
Really friendly guy behind bar, very informative about area also, was a bit dubious because of prices as a bit more than we've paid in North Devon but the Goan Prawn curry and Beef Madras were very generous and great tasting so definitely worth that bit more. Will return

We were staying at the camp site next door and thought we go to this local pub. The bar man was very rude to us and made us feel very unwelcome. We were told that we couldn't sit at a table after we ordered drinks, stating it was reserved for food only, however no one was using it.
Stayed on 25th -26th July for my Birthday. We were met by Kevin who carried all our bags to the room, Jan showed us where everything was. They made a huge fuss of my little dog. There is enty of parking. The room was just perfect and a birthday card was in my room from everyone at Beggars Roost. What a lovely touch!. The gardens are perfect for walking the dog. The food in the pub was delicious and portions were very generous, breakfast was again delicious. Kevin and Jan are just amazing, so friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the are really lovely genuine people. You feel like you are leaving having made new friends. Definitely recommend and definitely going to return and stay longer. Thank you so much.
