About us

One of the most impressive features of the newly refurbished Met Quarter is the grand Victorian façade on Victoria Street. Built originally as the central post office in the heart of Liverpool's town centre, the venue will now welcome customers into the Everyman cinema situated on the first and second floor.

Everyman Liverpool offers a full food and drink menu, including our Spielburger kitchen, where you can enjoy drinks, hot food and snacks in our bar or have waiter service from your cinema seats.

First time here and we will deffo be coming back. Staff were really attentive, friendly and helpful. Great choice of vegan items although they could of been labelled better on the menu. Prices are what you would expect at the cinema. Seating is really comfy. Highly recommend.

We came here over the festive period to watch Wonka and did enjoy the experience, although did spend quite a bit. It's fun to get cozy on the sofas, although the little tables are a little small so you do have to do a bit of a balancing act with things you buy (at least we did). The food and drink is what you'd expect to pay at the cinema, and it is that bit different the choice of what you can get ordered to your seat (you order at the bar and they bring it to you). I wish they did a proper pick and mix though, the little pre made sweet carton doesn't have the cinema feel to it like pick and mix does! I saw a review saying about the length of adverts at the start, and I have to agree it's over the top the length of time you wait for the film to start. I'm guessing they may do this to try and get people to finish eating so there is less disturbance in the film? Still, we didn't get hot food, so we found it a bit annoying having to wait through all the ads. Overall, it's a fun experience, which you do pay a premium for. I'm not sure I'd be going regularly, but as a treat, and as something different, I do recommend it.

Came here in 2020 to watch the Lighthouse. Bit of a throwback and quite different to the modern American-style cinemas we have today. Would recommend if you're looking for a bit of a different cinema viewing experience. The seats are more like sofas or settee furniture with popcorn and snacks available as well as a cocktail and drinks menu. I was in Screen 2 which is one of the bigger rooms they have with 2D 4K sound and there was also a removable seat for disabled/ wheelchair access. I also quite liked that staff came in to let us know the film was about to start and to turn your phones off which I really appreciated. The accessibility is good with elevators able to take you up to the venue and removable seats in each room.

The best place to watch a film, no doubt. Excellent seating, comfortable environment and classy interior. Great food and snacks - though none of this comes cheap. For a couple of tickets and a few snacks you'll run up over 50-60 quid. Throw in cocktails or glasses of wine and a visit here can easily cost near 100 pounds in total. My only real criticism is the excessive advertisements before each film. You'll be watching about 45 minutes of advertisements and trailers. Branded messages from Everyman Cinemas will play that state "the film's about to start soon!' but you'll then be subjected to another 20 minutes of ads. By the time the actual film starts, your expensive food with either be eaten or cold. I don't think it's fair or reasonable to charge such high ticket prices, claim a film starts at a certain time, but then subject customers to 45 minutes of advertisements from M&S or Jaguar. 15 or 20 minutes of advertising should be more than enough. Otherwise I really enjoy this cinema.
