About us

Everyman Bristol was built in 1920–1921 by James Henry LaTrobe and Thomas Harry Weston (1870–1923) and opened by the Duchess of Beaufort on 29 November 1921. It formerly had a ballroom, billiard room and restaurant but in 1978, the large single screen was removed and the building split into three screens. Formerly Whiteladies Picture House this stunning Grade II listed venue has been lovingly restored and has kept many of the beautiful building’s original art deco features, the cinema really is something to behold and is the perfect setting for film premieres, private screenings and corporate away days. It has been a hugely popular venue since it first re-opened its doors in 2016 and has hosted Events with the BBC, Netflix, Wild Screen Festival and Social Media week.

I have been here two times and enjoyed both visits. The ticket price for a film is expensive but the seats are comfortable. The food during my first visit were below my expectations but second time I had a vegan pesto pizza and it was excellent. I will definitely come back here.

Beautiful old cinema with delicious food served to your very comfortable seats or sofas. We took the kids to an afternoon viewing (of Wonka, which was great!) and were impressed with everything. A more old school cinema experience but also more luxurious with sofas and service to your seat. All the food we ordered was great, and despite the cinema being pretty full almost everyone was served before the movie started. Staff were friendly and we'll definitely be back!

Never been to an Everyman cinema? It's quite an experience! It's got that old-school cinema vibe but with added bonuses like sofa seating and waiter service. You can order food and drinks, even booze, before the movie starts and it gets delivered to your seat super quick. Seems like it's a great spot for couples coz of the couches. Just a heads up, the screens aren't as huge as in the big cinema chains. For visually intense movies, this might be a bit of a letdown. The screening rooms are smaller, but that makes for a really snug atmosphere. Yeah, tickets cost a bit more, but in my opinion, it's worth splashing out every once in a while.

Always love a visit to the Everyman. Great service at the start of the films with a good selection of food and drink. Incredibly comfortable seats in a great location.

I never thought going to the cinema could be such a luxurious experience. Definitely a must at least once! Staff are very polite and an abundance of drinks and food are served directly to you cinema chair (more like sofa, they were so comfy!). This cinema is a bit steep on the price spectrum, but I would say it’s worth for the sake of “spoling yourself”. 😁
