We went here for the Sunday roast and booked before hand. The pub itself looks lovely and is dog friendly but for the Sunday roast we were sat in an eating area in front of the kitchen. The food was lovely and service was very good as well. My only down side for me was the Roast Trio should come with crackling and mine didn’t. We did get extra roast potatoes and gravy though. Also I do think the coffee machine sounds like a jet engine and probably could be away from folk eating but that was only a noise towards the end of the meal.
Love this pub…. We often drink here and the staff are amazing, such genuine people who always greet you with a smile. The food is quality, it’s genuine food & not microwave food. Sourced locally and real food. Today we had bangers and mash and all I can say is OMG. It was simply divine. The best food in the area & the beer is also the best. These guys know how to run a pub. Love this place.
We are regulars to this pub and we decided to hire a room here for our engagement party in October. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We had a great night and they even had a 80s band which was great fun too. Highly recommend. Thank you so much
Have been here on a few occasions. The dining room at the rear has been designed to a high standard, very comfortable seating and restaurants standards. We came here for Sunday lunch which was a little over prices for what you get. However the burger and chips were very good. The rest of the pub is also well kept. Service has always been good and staff quite chatty and polite as well as drinks and food menu fitting for the style of place. There is a lovely outside seating area to the side of the building which is great for when the sun is out. They also have a good range of beers including a few craft beers, ales and wines.
Molly helped us arrange our christening party in the upstairs private room and it was so easy I'd do again. It was simple to book, easy to arrange food, and she was so helpful in the day. The food was delicious (mini burgers, sausage rolls, wings) and we had our own barman for the event with the private bar. Thanks for a great party!
