Quaint pub on a corner in Woodford Green. Lovely conservatory to the rear and outdoor seating too. Thats the good bit. The food was terrible. Sweet potato falafel (3 small pieces) was burnt and it was served with crunchy (certainly not focaccia) bread. The coating on the onion rings was oily and dense - not the light crunchy batter you’d expect. The sweet potato fries were refried and burnt.
The staff were extremely welcoming, supportive and helpful. My niece booked my brothers 60th birthday party on the 09.12.2023 and it was just amazing!!! Everyone enjoyed themselves and I was gob smacked at the prices of the drinks, they were soooo CHEAP!!! I am still in shock! I hope they keep up their friendly atmosphere. We are all planning to go back soon! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Crown &Crooked Billet - our local favourite place! Today was fabulous. We tested two Award Winners Pies and they were very good 👍 😍
July 29th, 2023 we were in from New York staying at the hotel across the street so this was the closest place to get something to eat, especially at odd hours. Pros 1. Heather was extremely friendly and welcoming 2. James helped us get an excellent meal right before the kitchen closed for the night, they could have said no the kitchen was closed but they didn’t. 3. The food always hit the spot, and I was never disappointed 4. The ambiance and atmosphere were beautiful 5. It was never too busy, and great portion sizes Cons 1. It is a little pricey to eat too often but worth every penny
Came here for a weekday lunch. The lunch menu is value for money. The food is good, plenty of vegetarian options. The staff are friendly. The venue is clean and there is ample parking.
