The Naval & Military Club was originally formed to give veterans from WW1. a place to meet for frendship and exchange their experiences, nearly a hundred years ago. It is now open to everyone.
You are welcome to join us on any day and sample the wares of our bar and our lunch menu.
The Naval & Military Social Club was formed in 1920 by veterans of the First World War, as a place to socialise and support each other following their experiences in the 'Great War'.
As the years have passed those original members are no longer with us However their values of mutual support in a relaxing atmosphere still form one of the principles that underlies the running of this social club.
We welcome both serving and ex-service personnel and their families; indeed all members of the community who wish to enjoy the atmosphere in one of the town's oldest social clubs.
We are located at No 20 Royal Terrace, overlooking the estuary and just along from the junction of Southend High Street and Pier Hill, heading towards Westcliff.
For details of our opening times please click on the link for 'News'. Please feel free to visit - might I suggest Wednesday afternoons from 12.30 pm and on Saturday evenings from 8 pm when we have entertainment organised.
