Had a very enjoyable evening, went initially for meal but joined in the quiz which was good fun. Food was hot (fish and chips), and very good value for money. Was served by Trish, have been served by her before, she was so friendly and helpful as always.

Hired an area for my dad's 70th birthday meal with around 35 people in attendance. Food and service was excellent great value for money, friendly staff. Food on time with everyone eating a main meal together, nice little area for us all to mingle and chat.

Visited Tuesday lunchtime. Was really impressed with every aspect of our visit. We sat in the adult only area, which felt so cosy on a cold day. Great atmosphere. We were welcomed by a lovely lady Trish, who explained the menu, took our order and checked everything was satisfactory. She even took cash payment, over to the tills. Nothing was too much trouble. The food (we both had sizzler meals) was fresh, hot and very tasty. Great portions, and lots of choice...and the hot chocolate was to die for. We felt it was one of the best meals we'd had in a long time. A big thumbs up. Even the lad behind the bar called out goodbye as we left. All in all 10/10 in every way.

Celebrating a birthday on this occasion so we reserved a table. Great service, all 6 meals arrived hot and at the same time, ample portions and good value, especially the super specials at £10 on Saturday. I had the Jerk Chicken & Wings Half roasted chicken seasoned with authentic Dattie's Soul Food TM jerk rub, plus crispy chicken wings tossed in jerk sauce. Served with savoury rice, coleslaw, spicy herb garnish and Caribbean sauce. The chicken was probably the moistest I've ever eaten😋, highly recommend.

Popped in for lunch here last Wednesday whilst waiting for our son to finish his Dance It Out Summer Intensive in Sweyne Park School. We're always confident with any pub that's under Hungry Horse. The place was spacious and clean. The atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Food was delicious and prices are very reasonable. We'll definitely come back again the next time our son has a dance competition or training in Rayleigh!
