About us

Stuart and the team welcome you to The Plume of Feathers. We are an independent, family run pub, holding a great reputation of providing our local village with great food and drink. We take pride in what we do, with our new Head Chef Kaya innovating the pub with his freshly homemade food, all locally sourced and expertly prepared. We offer a wide range of real ales, draught lagers and wines, and we are excited to introduce our brand new cocktail menu available at our outside bar. Our newly vamped beer garden is ideal for all visits, with covered and heated tables, lite with fairy lights and speakers. Always keep an eye out for our live music events, or rent our garden or restaurant space for all private functions. We look forward to welcoming you to The Plume of Feathers!.

Had the most amazing Sunday dinner here this weekend. Beautiful, cosy and friendly pub, super lovely staff who made sure that we were looked after... but most importantly the food! It was so good! I usually never order a roast dinner as prefer them at home, but had the 'special' of pork loin (we all did) and it was the best and literally 'melt in your mouth''. Highly recommend and will be going back very soon.... thank you 🙏

Food was okay, very expensive for pub food, think it was something like £19 for the lasagne I had which didn’t even have the béchamel sauce, it was basically a bolognaise sauce with lasagne sheets. Tikka cod was so bland & was left as it really wasn’t nice, said it was served with a side salad but it was just plain dry rocket. Disappointing :(

Had a great time at the Plume of Feathers Christmas quiz night. Ali was a great host. Food and atmosphere were great!

The food was really great, the service took a while ( to the point we had to chase the food to get to the airport in time - 40 min+ waiting time). The roasts were delicious, including the kids meal. There was a really good cider too called "Inch's". Q

This is one of those gems tucked away for those in the know. Sorry I didn’t take photos of the food. I was starving and it was so good. Reasonable prices with friendly staff looking after you. Even a bit of banter at the bar. I had a lovely evening. The setting outside is relaxed, shaded, well lit looks clean and inviting. They are putting some effort into appearance and ambiance. Seriously I would take my mum or my mates here you can’t go wrong. Can’t wait to go back
