A lovely pub. A warm welcome and cracking pint! Now serving delicous food, especially the Sunday roasts!
We visited Ian and Dawn's pub after travelling up from London to celebrate a New Year's Eve lunch. We weren't local and there were 9 adults and 3 kids but we were welcomed with the warmest open arms and given lunch and drink options. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. Would highly recommend this friendly family pub run by a friendly family. Happy New Year!
Lovely friendly pub. I have not eaten in there yet. But I did have fish and chips from the van outside, which was very nice, and the pub manager allows you to eat in side the pub. Which was nice.
Me and my better half often find ourselves searching for a good roast on a Sunday. She is vegetarian and I’m not. I have to say this is the first place we have ever both cleaned our plates. Amazing staff, amazing service and the food was to die for probably one of the best local pubs I’ve ever eaten at in the UK.
A pleasant local with reasonably priced well cooked food. The Sunday roast is one of the best around. You might find that the bar staff are more interested in chatting to the locals than serving... one time I just walked out after being ignored. There is off-road parking in a field behind the pub.
