Dropped by for a quick Saturday lunch. This was my second visit, the first being a midweek business lunch. As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly by two young waiting staff. A very desirable menu, not too busy but enough on offer to choose from. We both chose from the light bite lunch. Not sure I would describe it as light, in fact it both choices were very filling. Fish pie and roasted root vegetables and chicken goujons, salad and sauté new potato's. We finished by sharing a lovely cheese board. Two coffees and a lovely pint of Crouch Vale. Great service, lovely food in a charming setting. We will be back again soon.

First time visiting. Friendly pub with parking and seating inside and out. We sat out back which was good when we arrived, but by 5pm sun was only hitting the front - so bear that in mind. Road is quiet so don't let that put you off. Friendly bar staff, good beer & cider. Didn't try food due to timing. Would have been 5 stars if not for the weird door situation at the back - needed two people to carry out drinks as someone needs to open both doors.

Sunday lunch on 12 March 2023. Very enjoyable. Decent pint of Crouch Vale. Beef was tender and plenty of gravy. Rhubarb and Apple crumble for afters. Cost was £25 per person with a £2.50 supplement for beef. Pub is very dog friendly. Hope to go again soon.

I visited recently to enjoy a Christmas meal with my work colleagues. We were a party of 15 and had booked a table. The three course menu we had was absolutely delicious, and I loved my prawn-filled salmon parcel for a starter. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was a great experience and a lovely place to enjoy a nice plate of food!

Been in plenty of times for a pint on the way home and many many years ago for lunch whilst working nearby. The staff were very attentive and helpful and quite informative. They have an unmanned deli on site selling bread, condiments, cheese and quail's eggs too if you fancy. The food was good and I have to be honest it was better than I'd expected, not that I thought it would be bad I'm just saying it was better then I'd expected it to be. Service was plesant and polite but also informative. Overall I'd recommend it for pretty much all occasions. Pop in and have a look
