Looking for a family-friendly pub restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere? Look no further. We're near to North Benfleet, Hadleigh and Pitsea. Our menus include our great selection of grills, meal deals and kids' menus, which means there’s something for all appetites.
Waited a few minutes once inside to be greeted and shown to our table. Waitress gave me enough time to see what the kids wanted to drink before coming over. She was attentive throughout our whole experience. Went to this restaurant years ago and the food was poor as was the hygiene, but based on my experience yesterday, I would definitely go back. Was cleaner, brighter and staff cared.
The breakfast was very good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. It's just been done up all nice. But the toilets need a bit more bleach down them. As got there at 10.30, and they did not smell great. Would go back again.
On walking from the greeting to the service and servers, it was a great warm experience. The choice for a coeliac (gluten free) is great and the staff double checked with the chef to be doubly sure.
The refurbishment looks great. Food was lovely, new items added to sald bar since we last visited which were tasty. Staff were friendly, Katie was our waitress today she was very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. Rocky horror waffle was a great end to our meal.
Staff very friendly and catering was excellent as I have a gluten intolerance/allergy and helped me to find a meal that would be suitable for me even with certain changes. The kindness and atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent. Donna (worker) was really helpful and kindhearted. Only one problem we experienced with the lack of space between seating and table on table 5 as it was fairly cramped. Overall excellent restaurant and would definitely recommend
