Food we had was very nice. Didn't really like the salad. It all looked old and like it had been there all day. Lettuce was going brown and carrots looked dry. My main meal was very nice. Just was missing the vegetables, but it was great. Our server was amazing she was very friendly and polite. One thing if you are putting tables together make sure they are the same size. One of our tables was lower than the other which ment I was hutting my elbow on it. Other than that it was well nice.
Had a family meal here. Food was ok quality but two family members were unhappy with food with one having a cold meal and other a solid burnt jacket potato. Chicken skewers were over cooked with very burnt peppers and small rice portions. The server was friendly and resolved issues as best as possible but had to chase up drink order after waiting over 20 minutes. The double Cajun chicken breast burger was not crispy as expected and fillets very small without much seasoning. I was expecting much better. However, chips were good. Salad bowls given are very small, and as salad items not chopped, difficult to put much in a bowl (deliberate ploy?) Dessert was pricey and disappointing. £7 plus for ice-cream with a couple of bits of meringue and lemon sauce.... Don't normally eat at chain places like this as remind me of a cafeteria in both food and quality. For a main with no sides, dessert and one beer, was just under £30. This is pricey for very average food. I wouldn't rush back
Great staff, friendly and welcoming and very helpful. Can work remotely in bar with plug points and vegan breakfast is fairly good value for money with unlimited coffee! Bar toilets always seem broken but there are more available at the other end of the restaurant.
Went here for a Christmas lunch today with my book group. There were 9 of us. The food was great and we had fabulous service from Billy who waited on us. Carl the manager helped with a query too and was pleased to receive great feedback from us. The Christmas lunch was good as well as all the other meals. Good value too.
I don't often post reviews but feel this is very much deserved. The best meal I have had in a long time. Especially a Christmas one! Couldn't fault the food and very reasonably priced in my eyes for Christmas and the portion sizes. Service was very helpful and polite and willing to help. I would definitely recommend. I just hope other Harvesters match up to this one! Thank you!
