Surrounded by open green land, the perfect stop off for the whole family to enjoy the best of the great British summer, ample space to eat, drink and enjoy on the huge patio and garden.
Very prompt and speedy service. I asked for extra gravy twice and when it arrived it still wasn't enough. Very tasty gravy though. The food got cold quite quickly and the beef brisket had a rather unappealing fatty bit. Otherwise very nice food and everyone enjoyed their meal on our table of 6.
Came here today for a Sunday Roast. Staff were lovely and friendly and the food was delicious. I had the Regular Braised Beef Brisket and was amazed at how much meat there was, wish I'd taken a photo now but unfortunately I just got stuck in when it arrived.
We went for Boxing Day Christmas meal. It was very busy but the staff are lovely. Food wise the prawn cocktail starter was pretty tasteless unfortunately but the beetroot Wellington was beautiful. (Lighting not great for the food photos sorry). The table set up looked pretty but the crackers were a bit of a waste other than looking pretty and a 'bang', most people seemed to not wear the hats and they have no gift inside. Could maybe try something different to the cracker like silly Christmas glasses or something? Or are we as a nation so stuck on the Christmas cracker being part of tradition? In which case you could perhaps put your own prize insert into the cracker with different discount or free drink cards? Atmosphere wise, I love the decor the whole vintage industrial vibe is great. The table we sat on was right next to the kitchen so heard a constant bang of the door opening and closing which I did seem to block out in the end, but maybe a divider partition would work? Alternatively be sure to book at a different. Have been a few times and will go again as it's a lovely place with friendly staff.
Had a fantastic meal here. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the service was top notch. You could tell everyone was working really hard to make the best experience for the customers. Definitely recommend!
The food was OK, but the portions were small for this type of pub. You can see the fries were not even full in the cup. Prices were high for this kind of fair. Nice decor, and it was very busy, which for a Monday was a shock at 6pm. Service was slow because there wasn't enough staff on for how busy it was.
