Probably my favorite pub in all of Edinburgh. The soup and drinks are on point 👌 the history behind it and the figure the pub is named after is also quite fascinating

Traditional Scottish pub with a lovely atmosphere. Very good whiskey selection. Knowledgeable staff were able to aid my choice of the perfect dram. Lovely entertainment in the evening. Highly recommended.

1st visit! Very quaint inside. Lucky to get seated. Served quickly. Got chatting to others in the pub. Great wee afternoon. Toilets are well disguised in the panelled walls but barman did give us a clue. Nice wee stop if you're visiting the castle

Amazing atmosphere and great selection of whisky. Very friendly and helpful bar staff and patrons. If you’re looking for a whisky pub in Edinburgh this is definitely the place.

Pretty unassuming from the outside but wow, does this bar have a great atmosphere. Awesome, old interior with a brilliant pub feel. But the main thing was how great the staff were, they were unbelievably knowledgable about the whisky that they had. It was all more obscure whiskys as well which was fantastic. By far one of our favourite pubs while visiting Edinburgh. Food was great too!
