I recently visited The Ei8ht Bells on the Isle of Wight and had an absolutely delightful experience. The child's soft indoor play area was a standout feature, providing a safe and entertaining space for kids. What impressed me even more was the staff's proactive approach in checking the area for defects and ensuring a warm atmosphere by promptly turning on the heater. Now, onto the food – the chips were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The hot sandwiches were a highlight, especially the vegetarian sausage one, which was surprisingly delicious. The menu caters to various tastes, and the quality of the ingredients truly shines through. I must commend the friendly and helpful demeanor of the barman. His recommendations and attentiveness added to the overall positive experience. The Ei8ht Bells is a fantastic pub with a welcoming atmosphere, great food, and thoughtful amenities for families. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Wight! I'm sorry for no pictures of the food as it was too tasty to stop and look at! ((Also the toilet facilities were astonishingly clean))

I have been in this pub a few times and it is very lovely, large and has an excellent beer garden. I haven't tried the food yet but I can tell you that it looks very nice and the aroma of food in the place is absolutely lovely. If you're not hungry when you walk in the place, you soon will be. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Food is good value and tasty. The pub it self could do with a referb, quite a strong smell of damp. Staff are excellent. Upgrade to the garlic baguette, you won't regret it!!

A nice lunchtime at the Eight Bells with my partner and her little one. Reserved a table (which is required) and bought drinks, then used the soft play area, which the little one thoroughly enjoyed. Then went through and ordered food using the handy app, staff were friendly and welcoming and the food didn't take too long to come through considering how busy it became. My partner had the hunters chicken with straight fries and I had the (2 x 4oz) cheesy porker burger with an extra patty and was able to customise the bacon (I like crispy), with a portion of coleslaw and fries. All were cooked very well and tasted lovely... Eating area was well presented, good facilities for kids, there is an extra area at the back of the premises for walks and a duck pond, especially good in the warmer weather. Good sized car parking area with level entrance for accessibility requirements. Well worth the visit...
