About us

Welcome to the Edgcumbe Arms

The Edgcumbe Arms is on the Rame Peninsula in the hamlet of Cremyll. We are on the banks of the River Tamar and have fabulous views across to Drakes Island and Plymouth Sound.

The Cremyll passenger ferry leaves from outside the pub to Stonehouse in Plymouth, a ten-minute stroll from the famous Royal William Yard with its shops, bars and restaurants. A service to The Barbican, in Plymouth is also in operation during the summer months.

We are also a stone’s throw from Mount Edgcumbe Country Park with its historic house, formal gardens and acres of woodland walks. We are situated on the South West Coastal Path and the pretty villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are a 40 minute walk away.

Looe and Polperro can be reached by car in approx 30 minutes.

Whether you want a quick drink, relaxing meal or a cosy place to stay, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

We hope to see you soon!

Great little find. I've been to the area so often but have never ventured inside for a drink or for something to eat. As a business, we took a trip with friends and were so pleased that we stopped. The barman (Aston villa fan) was fantastic, knowledgeable, very polite, and really helpful in selecting some of the food and wine. Thenother staff were extremely good also, credit to the pub. The food was very good, fresh and arrived very quickly. The wine we selected was a Sand Tropez Rose, which was superb; very well priced, considering it was a good brand. Chapple Property Management will certainly be coming back for another visit. Thanks for a great afternoon.

They hosted our family and friends for our wedding this summer. Staff were accommodating, kind, witty, and understanding of our requests and slip ups whenever possible. Thank you. Drink & Food was delicious and the portions generous. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfy with gorgeous views of Plymouth Sound. The entire party loved our time there and although we live in Japan we will be back one day! The rambles in the surrounding area left nothing to be desired. I’ve attached some photos of our ramble to the nearby village. Thank you all sooo much!

Had a fantastic break this week, the staff were very attentive, all the meals were good, and the room was superb. Didn't touch the car for three days, just had a brilliant time. Hopefully back next year.
