Pub open under new management, same Landlord now transfered from The Fawcett Inn. Lovely back street boozer, two large rooms a lounge and public bar, with a big garden out back west facing. Been smartened up no end, fresh paint and upholsertery, Three ales on offer including Ringwood Razor Back. But alas they have removed Sharps Sea Fury which was amazing and sold very well in preference to weaker IPAs. Landlady Michelle says she won't put it back on which was very dismissive as apparently it won't sell, however many customers went there for this beer. Today a large wine and Razorback £9.20.....but a better Titanic Porter is on but is no Sea Fury. Friendly barstaff and new Landlord Jodie on hand to ensure the relaunch really takes off and is always friendly. I hope it does, this pub is so nice it deserves a decent team to bring fresh custom in. Landlord wants to offer simple no nonsense food in time think this on offer now. The ale was well kept although not entirely my taste shows they have new pipes in and deep cleaning paying off. Plenty of seats front bar to socialise, they have pool and big screen sports in front. Lacks custom some nights but atmosphere picking up, and a good effort with Christmas decorations which is a nice touch. Ornate frontage worth checking out best looking pub in Portsmouth. Please do use this pub.....this is the last chance for this pub I feel and needs custom. My plea...get Sea Fury back and listen to your customers.
Went in for a roast on a Sunday. We hadn't booked but they squeezed us in. The service was so fast! And friendly. Great, proper pub and really welcoming.
It has been a fantastic time opening the doors to The Eastfield Hotel! We offer Sky Sports and BT Sports, Dart board in the lounge bar which is family friendly and has access to the garden the lounge bar also doubles up as a dining area for great food and is perfect for a more relaxed atmosphere. The Public bar which hosts the Pool table is a bit more lively as it also has the Jukebox! We serve Cruzcampo, Madri, Staropramen, Carling, Coors, Aspall, Thatchers Gold, Guinness. There are Three Ale taps with Razorback, Naked Ladies and our guest ale which is currently Haka plus a selection of various alcoholic bottles and spirits. As much as we would like to cater to everyone it is what the majority would like to see on the ale pump not one person who pops in on the odd occasion. Lots of choice for the kids with £1 mix ups soft drinks and other snacks. We are Dog friendly but we do insist that our furry friends are kept on a lead. We have a Darts Team and 2 Pool Teams. We host a Quiz night every Thursday at 8pm. Which is £1 per person. Maximum 6 per team. The winner takes the pot! We hold our Meat Raffle every Sunday at 3.15pm with our Higher or Lower game with a Cash prize which currently stands at £1000! Sunday Roasts are served every Sunday 12-5pm Booking advised as we book up quickly but Takeaways are available in our magic boxes! We have lots of events on so check out our Facebook page. How the new owners have managed to change the atmosphere of this place in a few months is extraordinary. It's family friendly, comfortable and welcoming. The pick n mix and crisp bar snacks are great, the food is exceptional. Well done guys.
Recently taken over by new management, who were very happy to serve, we've watched live music with some nice beers and whiskys made for a very nice atmosphere, with very friendly staff 👍Sunday roasts starting soon.
