We requested a table in a quiet area of the establishment which was granted and we had a lovely bench table away from the main area which was appreciated. The lady who showed us to our table informed us if the ease of ordering on the app but unfortunately the vegetarian carvery meal is unavailable so we had to queue at the bar. On ordering I was told someone would inform us when the vegetarian dish would be cooked as it would take 20 minutes but after 25 minutes I approached the carvery to find it was sat waiting and burnt. The children's desserts arrived and the ice cream sundae was just 3 scoops of vanilla ice-cream and on asking the server she informed us that is the dessert but it is detailed otherwise on the menu and we located an ice-cream station ourselves. The food was very nice.
We had a lovely carvery here, plenty of choice, even on what looked like a very busy day for them. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A very welcoming atmosphere - will definitely be going back. Thank you for a great meal.
First time here with a friend of mine. Wasn't particularly busy at the time we went (weekend, 2:30pm), but that was perfect for us! We ordered online and paid for our bill online, too. Only ever interacted with someone once the food and drinks were brought out, but they were very courteous, helpful, and friendly. Food was delicious! I only got photos of my order, but what I got was yummy! A hot chocolate, cheesy beefy chips (I can't recall exactly what these were called on the menu, sorry) and my meal was a southern fried chicken sandwich (also with chips, plain). Everything on my end came out to less than £13, but had I gone for a water instead - it would have been a little less than a tenner for it all, which is not bad!! I'd absolutely come back again to try out more from their menu; they had a varied menu of things from salads, sandwiches, and burgers to even pizza and pastas! All of which sounded so delicious, it was hard to decide what to order lol. Overall, loved it here and would love to come back again!
Took my mum for lunch, it was very quiet and really not much choice of vegetables on the carvery, we had the beef and turkey, the food looks good but it was all very cold , the beef was to fatty to eat and the turkey very dry , I did tell the lady who was lovely and ask if we wanted another carvery!!! Why would we its the same food ... I wouldn't buy a carvery from hear again as its not the the first time it's been disappointing 😔.
The food is to die for, comforting and warm, and the service is impeccable. Our waitress Annie was amazing, great manners and a good attitude. However, the decoration is slightly quaint.
