Possibly the quietest rock band I have ever hardly heard. Good playlist great band extrovert lead competent singer but my hi fi at home gets louder. Even locals said it was quiet and unusual, perhaps the wokearati police run the mixer desk, protect your ears, brain & health squad, if I needed that I'd go to folk concerts. Busy bar prices fair dismal loos.

I don't drink alcohol so I ordered a coke. It was about £3 had virtually no taste and very little fizz, more or less water. It's probable that people buy one drink and sneak a bottle inside a rucksack, so they gotta make a profit somehow. I went to see a band I'm friends with and did a movie of Fuzz On. They good, innit. 🙂

It is a brilliant traditional biker pub. It has a fun atmosphere and a great juke box. Fantastic live music weekly and friendly staff. *Edit* we go there pretty regularly now and always have a great time. The bands are fun on Saturdays. Worth a visit.

The Carlisle is an establishment on the Hastings seafront that bills itself as a "rock'n roll pub", and for good reason: Everything about the place screams traditional old-fashioned rock, from the music playing to the slightly tatty décor to the live music stage. Had a couple of drinks there on my way to old town one night when the place was nearly deserted. Not a place for beer drinkers, there's the usual Heineken/Stella/Kronenbourg/Guinness line-up. No real ales available. I wouldn't exactly vouch for utmost hygiene here, and the bar lady was a bit worse for wear - but that only adds to the atmosphere of the place.
