Went with my partner for the first time for a meal, I had the Yankee Burger and my partner had a fillet steak and they really didn’t disappoint. Steak was cooked to perfection and was clearly quality produce, the burger was huge and delicious, really did not disappoint. Staff were accommodating, friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere Will definitely be visiting again.

The pub did have some nice seating areas, however the table we were taken to had no lighting, so we couldn’t see much at all. My friend had ordered food with no slaked dressing , but had been given salad dressing for his starter. My starter was very greasy. Generally not a fan of the food, the wine was quite nice though. Would probably not visit it again.

Had been looking forward to visiting here for a while but were massively underwhelmed. We had reserved a table in advance and were placed in a very dark corner of the pub. Little lighting and the window was blocked with scaffolding. I specifically asked for no salad dressing and my starter came with salad dressing. I mentioned this to the waitress who apologised and said that she would make sure there would be no salad dressing with my main. My main arrived with no salad at all (when it was supposed to). Such a simple request but wrong on both occasions. The chicken strips starter consisted of greasy soggy batter and the main did not fair much better. The bun on my burger was crispy and appeared stale. Such a shame. There was however a nice atmosphere and there is plenty of parking with an overflow section located behind the pub. Such a shame the food was lacking.

Well if you want to eat I'd recommend booking in advance as I personally hate being disappointed. Menu is excellent. Staff are very friendly and hospitable. We stumbled across this place looking at the local attractions. The campsite is very reasonably priced. Facilities are excellent for such a small site. Peaceful on our stay I'd highly recommend this site for the novice or experienced camper. Firepits allowed and dog friendly. 10/10.
