Great Wetherspoons, right in the centre of town, alongside bus stops. Just round the corner from the Beacon. Within walking distance to the seafront. It's a very large Wetherspoons as it used to be a garage. Great value for money. Coffee only £1.50, then you can get free refills after that. The breakfast was only going to be £2.99 in January, as it was January sale. It's good value for money and always hot and tasty breakfast, always clean. Run very well doesn't take long to get your order. Took a while to get served as it was very busy, as it always is hard to get a table by the window. As it is very popular. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very nice.
Came for the Steak Tuesday deal, apparently medium rare is a steak with no red.... not happy. Tasted like a boot :( oh and also requested no peas...... Poor service and very messy for a daytime visit.
Even with a phallic symbol effort, the portions are erratic at best. But I guess you get what you pay for. Place is all good and cheerful though. Sorry, here comes my train, must dash out ...
Food is awful, finding a table can be a struggle and staff are hit and miss...I did come across a couple of lovely staff members on my most recent visit. To sum it up...not so cheap or cheerful anymore!
Great pub! It's massive. Lots of indoor seating and outdoor seating. Friendly and attentive staff. Using the app to order from your table is the easiest thing to do. The restrooms are on the same floor so no need to use stairs. There is also a handicap bathroom if you need one. The food was delicious. A great place to relax after a long day. I recommend Stowford Press cider. It's so good!
