Had a lovely meal with my family and love the atmosphere of a Laines pub, however after calling in early afternoon to supply my roast preorder, myself and my family were left waiting for 45 minutes for our food. My partner went to the bar to ask if food would be bought out to us and was told we needed to order, we already had but this had not been communicated to the night staff. Again, the food was amazing as always, however because of the miscommunication between the day staff and night staff our food took almost an hour to arrive at the table and no compensation was offered when it came to payment. I love white rabbit and will return for food and drinks, however communication needs to be improved to prevent this from happening again as it meant my family had to dash out of the pub after their last mouthfuls to make their train home which left a bad feeling at the end of the meal. This is a mistake which is easily fixed, which results in a knock on effect on the customers.
Do not come here for a Sunday roast! We was told the wait was 50 minutes, which was ok, so we waited until 1 hour 15 minutes to ask when our order was coming. They said it would be 10 minutes. At 1 hour 40 minutes they came up to our table (was only two of us bear in mind), to tell us they had no idea when our food was coming. So it could have been another 30-60 minutes. That’s over 2 hours for food. We left and had to go somewhere else Awful service.
Most incredible vegan roast. Best roast I have ever had! The oyster mushroom pork belly was to die for.. crispy roast potatoes and delicious veg and gravy! Only giving a 4 as waited over an hour for food. Never told of any wait time. Shame as the staff were brilliant and super friendly. Also dog friendly a big bonus. Would recommend big time for the food, rest of menu looked amazing!
It is bigger on the inside than it appears. A good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the lanes. This has a cool Alice in wonderland theme and plenty of space. Their are some nice benches outside too. This place does film nights and has a lot of community stuff going on. The food was tasty...a tad expensive but enjoyable none the less. They have a taco of the day and some some boozy hot chocolate. A good space if you need somewhere roomy and quiet.
Absolutely amazing pub. Great food, lovely staff. Miscommunication with my order but the replacement came out super quick and was brilliantly handled. Good time had by all
