Buffet booking for 70 senior citizens. Spacious area, tables for 4 to 8. A good variety of buffet style food, cutlery and napkins provided. All of the seniors said how efficient and helpful waiting staff were. One thing we would change, and this is more of a suggestion, rather than a criticism. To mark all food with labels, in particular the vegetarian choice to allow guests to make a sensible choice. Otherwise a perfect afternoon in a warm and comfortable venue.
So after being let down on a booking in a nearby pub we decided to try here for our Xmas get together. On arrival the pub was busy but we managed to find a table for 6 of us. The food was good and drinks were cheap would defo return but would have liked to try the Xmas menu which wasn’t being served today.
Pub was called in on after being limited to our options due to how busy the neighbouring pubs were. We stayed until last orders and the vibe and music was very good. Pricing was great for this type of pub and felt very welcome by staff.
Cheap drinks no real atmosphere maybe as it was only 6.30 Friday. Lovely decor. Large seating area.
Really good value drinks and food! Plus the bar staff are very friendly and attentive. Students can get special prices Mondays through to Thursdays so don't be afraid of getting in on even better value. Something to be aware of is the poorly-maintained bathrooms for both gents and ladies. I've had a few instances where there's been no soap or toilet paper inside the gents and a friend told me it's the same in the ladies. More care needs to be applied here so I'm rating it 3 stars.
