About us

Got a big appetite? You’re in the right place. Whether it’s our burgers or breakfast, hot dogs or roast dinners, they all have one thing in common – they’re big! Just because we’re big on portion sizes, doesn’t mean we’re big on prices though. Quite the opposite, actually. Went as a group of around 12 and we all enjoyed. Seating was a bit weird to start but, we asked to have it moved around a bit and the staff were more than happy to help. Food was really good especially for the price! Seemed quite busy and had a good atmosphere, staff seemed very busy though. Music was a bit quiet for me but that's personal preference. All in all, happy to go again and would recommend if asked.

There wasn’t an overwhelming amount of options for vegetarians/vegans. The food wasn’t good, I paid £2.19 for 5 small onion rings that came out cold and sludgy, the chips were dry, and I think £2.99 is a bit steep for 2 slices of garlic bread. Really no value for money at all. Service made us feel very rushed. There were 4 people in total, 2 of us had finished and 2 were still eating yet the staff thought it was appropriate to clear the table as they’re still eating, and again as the 3rd person finished. Meaning the last person to finish felt rushed and overall just wasn’t a pleasant experience. And nobody checked on us to see if the food was going alright, so I never had a chance to mention anything at the time.

Decided to give this pub another chance, having been disappointed on several occasions by very poor service when it was called the Dylan Thomas. Decor is still the same but the rebranding has definitely improved the service. Called early evening on a weekday and had no problem getting a table. Menu had been updated, and while it is still all typical pub grub fare there are good value offers and a good selection to choose from. Meal was tasty although my mixed grill was definitely on the well done side despite asking for medium. Blue Light card accepted but only for main meals.
