Walked 1.5 miles to the pub, unprepared and drenched when we got there. We were presented with a fantastic local pub with a very good selection of booze. For those that have never tried it, you should definitely give the barti rum a go!! The weather was bloody awful and having walked the distance we had in the rain, coupled with the brilliant service and conversation we decided to stay longer than we had originally planned (this had absolutely everything to do with the service and alcohol available). Unbeknownst to us the very kind John behind the bar would later on offer us a lift back where we were staying. In short if we had been here for a longer period of time we would have 100 percent spent more time in the pub. All the best to John and his family who work extremely hard to keep the place going.
