A good country pub. Log fire in the winter. Good beers with a range of changing real ales. Dogs are allowed in. Bar staff are friendly and prices are good. Sells crisps. No food
This is a proper pub, with a nice friendly feel and I was made to feel very welcome.

Always a good pint of real ale and a good selection to choose from. Relaxing atmosphere. Great bar staff.
Visited on a Saturday night. ( 3 couples). We were the only people in the pub apart from 3 others.Extremely unfriendly Landlord and Landlady. Asked us if we had taxis booked ( while still drinking our first drink). They seemed more intent on drinking themselves... This is the most unfriendliest pub we have been in for years. Most definitely won't be going back and wouldn't recommend to anyone. It used to be a great venue years ago, with different proprietors.
