Over the past decade this pub has been a regular haunt for students and social drinkers alike however in recent years it has gathered a fantastic reputation for both Sunday Carvery and it’s daily pub food menu.
As part of the major refurbishment we tried to keep the very essence of the pub in tact yet allow for the future expansion of their restaurant. As the refurbishment took place the aim was to increase how family friendly we were and give our regular customers some noted improvements. Sunday lunches are incredible absolutely gorgeous best Sunday lunch I've ever had more variety credit to the new management well done 👍
have yet to try the new menu but the rest is on form. cant fault it. new management is obviously putting in the effort. varied nights we've yet to try but will be. so far so good.
The new menus is phenomenal If you're looking for a proper dirty burger. You have found your establishment. All dips are free. And all food is cooked to order! Suzie is usually your barmaid. She is fantastic and definitely needs praising for her upsellong. We didn't want dessert but your girl convinced us we did. We definitely recommend the steam cooked Sticky toffee pudding.
Good, cheap pub grub. Good prices and a good range of food and the food arrived quickly and was tasty. The children's menu was good portions and price also. The only reasons I would not give 5 star is because there was a bike inside the pub where you collect your cutlery and the place did need a paint. The card machine was not working which was a bit annoying because I never carry cash with me. Overall I was happy with the service and price and would go back.
