Best pub in Ely. Ever-changing selection of real ales, craft beers and ciders to suit every taste. Staff are passionate and helpful and always happy to give recommendations. There is always a lovely atmosphere here.
We came to the Draymans Son pub in Ely to have a break from our walking, and I've visited here before, so I knew I would be in for a treat. Upon entering, the pub was very clean and quiet, and we ordered a Coke Zero at a very reasonable price. The toilets were clean and fully stocked with soap and paper, with a sanitary bin in both bathrooms. There is a selection of games that are free to play, and they also offer snacks. I would recommend that people check this place out; it's a nice place, and I have enjoyed myself here!
Our new favourite place....amazing beer, lunches are incredibly good value, lovely friendly staff, and full of nice folk appreciating good beer....what more could you want?
No rating given for food as we didn't avail ourselves of the snacks available. Superb beer menu at competitive prices.
This place was already the Ship of the fens a couple of years ago, but since the refurb it really does deserve the five stars. Five casks, £4.20-4.50, heaps of proper ciders. Probably seats about 30ish now, and dog friendly.
