No reason to give anything else than 5 stars: the food was perfect (we ordered a steak pie, a burger, a selection of VG dishes and a couple of sides), including small details such as the gravy, or the mushy peas. The service was polite and pleasant, patient (we’re French and the waitress was very helpful with my son when he ordered). We were comfortably seated and had a peaceful corner to enjoy all that lovely food. We’d definitely recommend.

Booked a table for a meal and drinks a couple of weeks back. It was a bit busy when we arrived and it took a while to find a staff to show us our table. There seemed to have been a mix-up and our reservation couldn't be found. However, the staff was able to fix it in no time. Friendly and professional staff. Generous food portions. We loved the sharing plates. I ordered the BBQ chicken. Although a little bit on the dry side, it was still very flavourful. Good drinks selection. I loved the old photos of and sketches on the wall and the trivia that the front of the pub used to be part of the river a long time ago. Overall a good experience.

Went in for food, nicely decorated. Spacious and well set out. Food order took 35 mins, bar person didn't say there was a wait for food. Didn't deliver cutlery to the table until the food was ready, although there was 2 staff on and it was quiet. Saying that food was hot, decent portion size, reasonable price. Not sure I would go back as lots of other choices around.

Called in for a drink and decided to have lunch as it is a really nice pub. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good pub grub. Cheese toasty, cod goujons, Korean chicken, king prawn and chorizo, chips and side salad. Served quickly well presented and tasty. Thank you

Great food, great service! We booked a table here and it was just as well as the pub was very busy. However, the staff were absolutely brilliant, they went out of their way to make sure everything was OK for us, they were super friendly and very helpful. The food was great too and big portions, which went down very well with all of our group. We will definitely book again to eat and drink here again.
