The room was lovely, modern and clean with an amazing view. The staff were very friendly and offered delicious free cookies. I stayed here for just 2 nights for my partners birthday and it was lovely. I would highly recommend. The staff were also very helpful. I would definitely go again.
First, the entire staff was very helpful and professional. I had a great stay but the reason for this review is to praise the service/ kitchen staff. The morning breakfasts were excellent. I stayed 7 nights and every morning I was greeted by a warm, welcoming staff that was fantastic. I particularly was impressed with Upul. He worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect with a keen eye for detail. He went beyond and above to serve drinks to people from the all you can eat breakfast which most certainly isn’t in his job description. I told him that I’ve noticed his professionalism and that he was obviously very good as his job. I also told him that I’d be more than happy to say a few kind words to his manager…..his response….thank you sir but when it comes time to review please give the credit to my team. Talk about a natural leader. It’s clear to me he has a very bright future and truly cares about the staff that works for him. Upul! You made my stay infinitely better and breakfast was the highlight of every day during my stay. Upul I can’t thank you enough and to your staff…you all rock! Thank you for making my staff that much more enjoyable. Location is five stars for the location relevant to the Excel center. Otherwise there’s not a whole lot around within walking distance.
The hotel was decent for the price. The parking is very handy for London. Just be careful with parking and make sure you get the timings right. I made a mistake with mine but the manager went above and beyond to help resolve it. Other than that there were welcome drinks and fruit and the hotel is located in a quiet area by the water
Very nice hotel. Our room had an incredible view over the river and airport. No noise came into the room at all. The room was immaculate and the bedding was soft and comfortable. However, to get to our room we had to walk awkwardly through the main restaurant and another thing the hotel failed to mention is that there is no easy walking route to and from the DLR or Elizabeth Line. There is masses of building work all around the hotel with huge plant machinery and workers everywhere. They have devised a walking route that takes you on an extremely long walking diversion. I have two bad hips and this walk was impossible for me, and yet no taxi would consider such a short fare. This information should have been provided at the time of booking. Therefore I’ve had to rate them 4 star.
The hotel was immaculate and the rooms was perfect with a great view from the balcony. The customer service was really impressive, specifically i wanted to give a shout out to Ben on reception who couldn't do enough for us! Really great example of a great hotel with even better staff. Would highly recommend. Thanks for making it a great stay Phil
