Owned and run by the seventh generation of the Woodhouse family, with Mark Woodhouse and Anthony Woodhouse as the current stewards, we’re proud to be a leading independent regional brewer with an established pub estate of beautiful pubs in great locations across the South of England.
We’ve built our managed pub-restaurant estate to be places that delight our guests and that our teams are proud of. Alongside this, we aim to be the tenanted pub company of choice for entrepreneurs looking to run their own pub businesses. We pride ourselves on working in partnership with our ‘tenants’ (we call them business partners) to ensure that they are able to run fantastic and profitable businesses.
Badger beer remains the golden thread that runs throughout our business, hence why you’ll only find our award-winning Badger cask ales in our own pubs. Our bottled range, as well as having a leading position in the take-home market, can also now be enjoyed in many countries across the globe.
We are a values led business where our team are at the heart of everything we aspire to.

Cosy country pub eager to please. Menu was standard fare but food was executed perfectly with good portion sizes. Wine choice was a little sparse. All staff friendly and helpful. Will return.
Not eaten in here yet but love the bar staff and owner, a wonderful pub to be sat in and and truly welcoming place. Can't recommend enough.
Party of nine for my 68th birthday. Sadly very disappointed 😞. Poor quality and tasting meals. Katsu curry very brand and rice tasting of nothing but water. Burgers very hard and tasteless. Whole experience never to be repeated. Young staff serving very helpful and friendly but you cannot get away from the very poorly cooked meals. Prices are reasonable but we will rather pay more for decent quality, well cooked meals. Which is why we left without bothering with desserts.
A great dog friendly pub with lovely food and a very welcoming team.
Very pleasant pub and garden, brilliant for kids! Friendly staff and very helpful. I had the garlic chilli chicken curry and it was gorgeous. My only criticism is that I had long-grain rice instead of basmati (my preference) and the curry portion size was a bit small. My wife was happy content though so I may just have a bigger appetite! My plate was clean at the end which is always a good sign! And yes, I will be returning!
