A traditional historic Dorset free house serving local craft ales, West Country ciders and hearty pub food.
In the picturesque village of Yetminster, close to Sherborne, Yeovil and Dorchester, The White Hart is a beautiful 16th century thatched free-house with loads of character. Specialising in serving locally sourced Craft Ales & West Country ciders
A huge inglenook fireplace dominates one end of the bar and the beams and stone mullion windows all add the the atmosphere. The skittle alley is used frequently by many teams and can also be hired for private parties. The outside areas are a great place to unwind with a chilled drink or two - It is well worth a visit!.
Really enjoyed coming into this traditional country pub with a lovely meal and a friendly atmosphere.
Excellent food, atmosphere & staff. Really enjoyed our meal, lots of choice both in food & drinks. Highly recommended!
Wouldn't recommend this place.Found landlady very rude and unwelcoming. Staff looked miserable and not even a hello or good afternoon from any of them when we entered. Called in on the off chance to have a Sunday lunch as local to us. Chef and bar staff said it wasn't a problem so we bought drinks at sat down. Then heard the landlady having a go at the chef. The chef then came out to us and said sorry we have not enough food to give you!....not even the offer of anything except drinks though the place was practically empty near 1pm. I would recommend the Sun Inn near Charminster Dorchester. We drove straight there, got a warm welcome and excellent carvery straight away though the place was very busy.
Nice enough pub, beers okay, food is nice, fish and chips is huge! Fine if you're local, certainly worth a visit though if you're passing by. In summary give it a go!
Since the pub has been taken over by new management it has come a long way! Super friendly staff who are really welcoming to families & even dogs. The food is amazing, it’s always served piping hot and the Sunday roast is amazing value for money. Definitely made it a lovely local village pub again. The girls behind the bar are just wonderful! We drive in from the town to visit because it simply worth it!
