The visit was excellent from start to finish. There were 3 of us and our dog. We were shown to our table and the staff were very friendly yet professional. The food was brought forward in good time and was excellent. We all agreed that the menu choices were great and we could have chosen at least 3 other alternatives. All in all great

Absolutely stunning and relaxed country pub. The food was amazing as was the good old fashioned service. Our server, Lee was brilliant making us feel very welcome. If you are in the area then you must visit this very dog friendly pub. Csnt wait to return.

Service for us was 10/10 (thank you Elle). Accommodating, friendly and attentitive throughout our visit. The food was spot on (which was a delight as I've been swerving here for a couple of years due to a bad food experience). I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and also very thorough with my partners dietary requirements. 2 people, 2 mains and sides plus drinks, £50 - so average on costs but both the food and atmosphere make it well worth it. Dog friendly, which is a nice touch. Max made loads of new friends, probably as we chose to sit next to the kitchen. What can I say? If you've been out on the Purbecks for the morning with the dog, stop by on your way home, it's pretty good all round. We recommend.

We had to wait a while to be seated despite there being no queue. We had booked a table (Saturday late afternoon) and whilst we were stood at the desk to waiting to be seated, numerous members if staff walked past us without saying anything. A "I'll be with you in a moment" would have sufficed rather than being ignored. Once seated, the lady serving us was lovely so no issues there. We chose the "BAKED WHOLE CAMEMBERT" to start and shares between three of us. It was ok. The bread was pretty tough. We ordered two mains from the children's menu which were quite underwhelming. The 'pizza' didn't much resemble a pizza and the tomatoes pasta was watery and didn't look appealing. This meant we paid £6.95 to have that dish sit on the table untouched. The lasagne was lovely but the garlic bread that came with it was burnt. The "BEEF & CHIANTI CASSEROLE" was fine, nothing to write home about. All in all I wouldn't visit again unfortunately.
