Very welcoming place with friendly staff and nice rooms. The restaurant serves delicious food on a reasonable price. I like the decor and generally the atmosphere. I can recommend to anyone for any occasion or no occasion at all, just spending a lovely time.
Last minute decided to go for a roast, and most places were full booked. I saw this place had good reviews and the pictures looked nice. Unfortunately it was officially the worst roast I've had so far. We had asked how cooked the beef was and was told it would be pink in the middle. What arrived after them getting the order wrong, was so overcooked, it was hard to chew. The vegetables seemed lazily cooked and bland. Best part...the Yorkshire puddings! My partner took a piece of it and closed his hand around it and it literally crumbled to dust. They were burnt and dry. My partner had pork, which tasted like very cheap meat. Long wait for this too. Not usually not a problem if the meal is worth waiting for. I'm genuinely perplexed how this place has good reviews, maybe new kitchen staff but it was an insult calling that a Sunday roast. The service was nice though. The girls were kind.
Great location, only a minute from Moreton station. My room was quiet and comfortable, the service exemplary. Really good value for money. I'm told it's best to book meals in season, the restaurant gets very busy.
Stayed here for 3 nights and ate in twice. The room was clean and adequate but not serviced during our stay. The bathroom was modern and fresh with a lovely walk-in shower. Quality and quantity of food was excellent, as was the service, attentive and friendly. Overall, a good atmosphere and friendly place to be. The location may not suit everyone, but there are plenty of walks nearby, and a railway station across the road to venture further afield.
Spent 2 nights in this excellent country pub. The surrounding area is very beautiful with plenty of landmarks to visit. The staff were all very polite and the evening food is amazing! Very well priced for such a high quality establishment. Edit: The rooms were very clean with a few amenities including a kettle and complimentary coffee
