Good value. Friendly staff. I would like to see other vegetables with the carvery like roast parsnips, sweet potatoes, creamy leeks, bubble and squeak, and roasted celeriac. Plus a vegetarian meat substitute. The left over meat and vegetables could be made into cottage pie for the next day.
Just popped over the Northbourne Toby carvery for a roast. Absolutely fantastic food and service. The place was busy, but clean with staff very much on the ball keeping it fresh. Turkey was succulent and the beef was incredibly flavoursome. Served by Gilly, who was polite, efficient and attentive. Well done 👏
Nice to visit after the refurbishment, although it looked very much the same. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was usual choice of up to 4 meats and veg. Unfortunately meat was slightly stringy and by the time we got to table the meal was tepid. But good affordable food, nice staff and relaxed cosy atmosphere.
Booked online, very easy. Arrived on time and seated straight away. Our waiter was very friendly and we had a laugh with him. Food was excellent. Just wish there was bread sauce! Will definitely go back again.
A great Toby to visit. Though be aware is does not open until 9am and not alot of parking. We went in for breakfast. Staff at the bar were friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating. The inside has just been refurbished and looks clean, tidy, and homely. The food was fresh and plenty of choice.
