Lovely location and there is not an excuse for the poor quality food. Beautiful old thatch pub in a perfect Dorset village…food is better at local petrol station unfortunately
A well run traditional thatched village pub in the famous Milton Abbas village. It is an excellent stop on a country walk and Milton Abbas is well worth a visit. Local beers, simple excellent food at lunchtime.
Came to stay locally from out of town for my birthday, we had researched the pub in advance as it was walking distance. The landlords were very friendly and chatty and the pub was immaculately clean. The only disappointment was they weren’t serving food such a shame as the website didn’t state this, in hindsight we should have called in advance, we then had to drive to get a takeaway in the next town 8 miles away. All in all lovely for a drink friendly landlords.
