Kevin and Kirsty are always ready to welcome you to The New Inn. We have both been in the hospitality business for many years, with their last pub just outside Bristol. They decided along with their 10 year old son to move to Dorset 8 years ago to become a tenant of Palmers Brewery, and have enjoyed it ever since.
One of the best Sunday Roasts we have had in a while, a cosy pub which welcomed our dog too. Great service, no rush and we felt very welcome. We booked in advance and I would recommend you do as every table seemed to be reserved - I can see why! Great food, great drinks - a real gem of place. Whilst over an hour away we combined with a walk in the local area which was beautiful also.
Wonderful Sunday lunch ..... 3 x Roast Beef & 1 x Roast Pork with lots of veggies and Uber crispy Roasties all washed down with a couple of pints of well-kept Palmers Dorset Gold. Highly recommended, and if not too full after a hearty meal, a bracing walk back to Beaminster. Top stuff 👏
My partner and I went for Sunday lunch pre booked. On entry into the pub we were immediately greeted and seated ,choice of drinks selected, excellent beer. We both ordered Roast Beef with all the trimmings and it was delicious.I succumbed to a dessert ,again soo good. Great value in a brilliant atmosphere, lovely building . Oh!We will be returning
The food is always excellent but there can be a bit of a wait. There are often only the two people running it, Kevin in the kitchen and Kirsty front of house. We book a table and get there early. Lovey pub with good beer, nice garden and friendly atmosphere.
Had Sunday lunch al fresco here yesterday. We both had the roast beef. It was piping hot with a good range of vegetables. Others had fish & chips and they looked good & tasted great apparently. Our donkey friends enjoyed their chip butties!
