Built in the 17th Century and adapted to become a gastro-pub in the 18th century when everything was homemade and locally sourced.
We are extremely passionate about food so we only use fresh, local produce in all our dishes and everything is cooked to order for the best taste and flavour. Almost everything is home made here at The Doric.
For this reason, we hope you don’t mind waiting that little bit longer.
Our traditional bar on the ground floor, refurbished in 2009, serves homemade pies, filled rolls and our soup of the day, with its focus being on our excellent selection of drinks, including our extensive range of 50 single malts and our four cask conditioned ales.

A great Sunday Roast. Beef tender and cooked perfectly. Great Yorkshire Pudding
Great place. Loved the pub and restaurant. Loved the food and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Definitely recommend.
Would recommend booking on a weekend, we walked in and managed to get a table but had to wait half an hr, there's a bar downstairs your can wait in but it was full too. Food was nice and service was quick. Have a selection of Scottish food really enjoyed it
Reasonable prices of food. Scottish classics like Cullen skink delicious and fulfilling. Portion of chips is a killer, way too big! But better like that than too small. Very friendly service
We enjoyed our meal and experience here! We didn’t have a booking but the staff managed to find us a table. Would recommend booking though as shortly after we arrived, people were turned away. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Has a nice cosy and traditional atmosphere to it. The chicken burger and vegetarian lentil pie were both delicious!
